Liz Kimbrough represented the Van Bael lab at the World Conference for Science Journalists in San Francisco, California. She competed to win a fellowship, and here she is surrounded by fellow fellows, hailing from South Africa, Mongolia and Mexico. As part of the conference, Liz wrote two articles that reported on conference panels. The first is called How “Decolonizing” Science Can Make it Better, and the second article is called Covering Sexual Harassment in Science: Journalists Weigh in on the Challenges. With panelists at the conference, she pulled together a list of resources available to people who feel harassed and do not know what to do about it.
