We braved the rainy weather and drove to Grande Isle last weekend. The hunt was on for Spartina alterniflora seeds, which we need for our inoculation studies. Our crew of 7 slogged through the marshy parts of the beach to beat the seeds into buckets, while the kid crew stayed near the shore to… fly a dragon kite and swim with the dolphins!
